Grantee Project

USD $1,500

The project

This project, proposed by Diamond FM, a community radio station at the University of Ibadan, during our 2015-2016 grant cycle, is to create awareness about the African Declaration on Internet Rights and Freedoms in Nigeria. Through radio call-in programs, guest speakers, debates, and a jingle-writing contest — open for submissions in three Nigerian languages. The radio programs will help to create more informed citizens who can examine the rules governing Internet use at home and at work.
